Basically there are many different types of Sources of irrigation in different parts of the world.Talking about India there are most of the farmers who depend on rain for irrigation. And that is the mainreason Where people that was the farmers go into loss as sometimes when there is no rain there is no water for the crops. well this is all before but now also is done in a few rural areas in India. But now there are different types of source of irrigation which have been installed in India also for example canals,Tube wells pipes which have direct connections from rivers to the crops and also drip irrigation methods and sprinkler system and other types of irrigation have also been installed but major sources of irrigation are As what I told you that is the Kennels, tube wells, dams, piping systems, et cetera.Well India has been developing since the past 20 years they have been a lot of changes in the sources of irrigation in last 20 years and now where as in last 20 years most of the farmers like out of hundred percent 95% of the farmers used to depend on rain for irrigation of the crops but now this all have been Stoped as there was no profit for the farmers when they believed in rain as their only source of irrigation where people that is the farmers have been using such kind of different sources of irrigation like canals rock dams pipes direct from the rivers
et cetera and dams also et cetera for irrigation and also different types of irrigation have also come as I have already mentioned where there is no loss of water and no wastage of water also and the plants receive only that amount of water that is required And there is no water logging also which destroys the whole crop. So these are some of the sources of irrigation.
