USES OF BAKING SODA

Explanation:

Hey mate...

BAKING SODA:

Also known as sodium hydrogencarbonate or sodium

bicarbonate is a basic salt.

NaHCO3....

It has number of different uses:

1)ANTACID: Since its a basic salt it is used as an anti-acid.

Whenever we suffer from excessive acidity we can use it

to neutralise the effect of acid.

2)IN FOODS:It has a wonderful use in bakery items. For eg

breads, buns and cakes all contain baking soda for the

porous and fluffy quality.

3)IN FIRE EXTINGUISHER:It is also used in fire extinguisher .

When sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) is heated by the fire

it becomes sodium carbonate. During this process water and

 carbon dioxide is released.

4)PESTICIDES:It has some repelling characterstics. This is the

reason of using baking soda in insecticides and pesticides.

5)HARDNESS OF WATER:It can also remove permanent

hardness of water.

Hope it helps!#BAL
