Ozone is a form of oxygen it is a triatomic molecule

Made up of 3 atoms of oxygen Ozone is highly poisonous

Very little quantity of ozone is present in the lower part of atmosphere called troposphere

Good amount of ozone is present in the upper layer of atmosphere called stratosphere

Ozone is present throughout the stratosphere above Poles and the rich zone of ozone in the stratosphere is called ozone layer .

In our atmosphere the oxygen is found in diatomic form o 2.it's a triatomic form is called as Ozone that forms a layer about 19 to 48 km above the surface of earth. Ozone Layer is a part of stratosphere which is the second layer of atmosphere.the upper part of the stratosphere is concentrated with ozone gas. the ozone gas is formed by natural action of Sunlight and oxygen .Ozone is poisonous. if we inhale ozone gas it can damage your lungs yet it is a life saving gas .It absorbs ultraviolet radiations X rays and gamma rays of the Sun which are very injurious to the life if reach on the surface of Earth. in 1970 the scientist discovered that Chemicals called chlorofluorocarbons proper popularly known as cfgs are poisonous danger to the Ozone Layer. the chlorofluorocarbons are used in refrigerators and aerosals in spray cans . Loss of ozone ,popularly known as Ozone hole which is actually thinned region of the Ozone Layer has developed over Antarctica but after sometime it is thikenedAgain by natural process studies conducted with high altitude balloons and weather satellites relieved that overall percentage of ozone in the Antarctic Ozone Layer is actually declining the chlorofluorocarbons are very light and can reach to the stratosphere. the chlorofluorocarbons contain the atoms of chlorine. when the chlorofluorocarbons reach Ozone Layer the Ultra rays break apart the chlorofluorocarbons thus releasing the chlorine atom .effects and measures are.. when Ozone Layer is depleted that are easily pass through the stratosphere and reach the surface of the earth and it causes severe damage to all forms of like UV radiations can cause many diseases in human beings such as cataract ,skin and other types of cancers and sunburns, premature aging ,eye burns etc. these radiations will also increase the surface brings damage to certain crops planktons and The Marine food web.
