• Atmanirbhar Bharat (English: Self-reliant India and self-sufficient India) is the vision of the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi of making India a self-reliant and self-sufficient nation. Prime Minister Modi and other ministers including the Finance Minister and the Law Minister have explained over time what is meant by the term. It is largely understood as "being a bigger and more important part of the global economy", pursuing policies that are efficient, competitive and resilient, and being self-sustaining and self-generating.
