1. Navigate to the Settings icon - it is located in the upper right-hand corner of the home screen

2. Click 'Settings' then look at the drop down menu next to 'Search'

3. Select your preferred search engine from the list and click 'Make Default' button.

 

To set the default search engine in Internet Explorer 9

1. Open Internet Explorer

2. Click the Tools icon in the top right corner of the browser

3. Click Internet Options

4. In the General tab, find the 'Search' section and click Settings

5. Select Google

6. Click Set As Default

7. Click Close
