Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

High up the sky lives a man name Mr. number maker . Mr. number maker makes the number for us . There is a Yank grandson of Mr. number maker.

He loves to play with the numbers. He always to mix up the numbers . One day he mix up positive , negative  and fraction. put them in the machine , after some time some numbers came out in  this form 22/14, -14/6, 226/38 .  What are these numbers , all have denominator and numerator . Are they fraction, let us understand fraction (  A number of the form a/b , where a and b are whole numbers, and b is not equal to zero). But some  of these numbers are made uo of negative  integers in the first number the numerator is a negative integers in the second the denominator  is a negative integers while in the third number the numerator and the denominator are negative integers by  these numbers cannot be called fraction. Seems like yunk has created rational number. A rational number is a number that can be  written in the form p/q , where a and b  are integers and q is not equal to 0.  Let check what whole numbers yunk put into the number machine. yunk put  some positive , negative, decimal ,zero,  fraction numbers.  So, in rational number both denominator and numerator be positive, negative .or one  digit be negative. Here is some rules

* A rational number be p/q is positive if both p and q are either positive  or negative integers.

* A rational number p/q is negative if either p or q is a negative integers.

* The rational number 0 is neither negative nor positive.
