My elder brother’s marriage was fixed for ninth April. There was great excitement. The preparations were ma many days in advance.

Wedding cards were sent to relatives and friends. They started arriving a few days before the wedding day Ornaments, sarees etc. were purchased. The marriage procession started at 7 p.m. The marriage party was to Rohini.

The band was playing. The bridegroom was riding a white mare. All the people were wearing beautiful dresses. The procession reached the bride’s house at 10 p.m.
