During the first week of last May I went on a holiday to Sichuan. First, I found some photos of interesting places which were not too far away from Chengdu. I decided to go and see the big Buddha in Leshan and Mount Emei. Next, I called a travel guide whose telepone number was in a newspaper. He told me that I could go on a two-day trip to Leshan and Ernei, which wasn’t too expensive. My friends, Chen Rong and Wei Bin, said they would come with me. We took a few bottles of water, some apples and oranges. The next day we got up at five o’clcok. First, we went to Leshan, where we climbed all the way up the mountain to se the Buddha. The Buddha was really big. Looking up at the large head and down at the large feet made us feel ourselves so small. Wei Bin took photos of us in front of the Buddha. The next morning, we climbed Mount Emei. There are many old templed and the forest int eh mountain was very beautiful. The monkeys were the liveliest on Mount Emei. They were not at all afraid of people. They came to you quickly and touched you. The monkeys looked sweet, but they were very naughty. A small monkey suddenly put its hand in Chen Rong’s pocket. Wei Bin took out some peanuts and it was fun to see the mokney eat from his hand. Finally, we were on the way back to Chengdu. We were all very tired and slept on the bus, but our travel was really unforgettable.

this is not based on me. It is about a girl's last trip, who was living in my neighborhood.

My last trip was June 2009. I would usually just go with cousins or alone with my brother, but this time it was my brother and I, and our parents. We hadn't had a family vacation together in 15 years, the last being in Vegas actually, so it was quite different being on vacation with my parents. My parents work their butts off and not having been on vacation for 15 years, all I wanted was for them to enjoy themselves as much as possible.

On this trip, my dad would often go gamble on his own as my mom gets too nervous being around him when he gambles. We didn't want to leave her alone so my brother and I took her to play some slots. We showed her how to play Goldfish. She doesn't gamble at all and didn't know how to play. After teaching her, she kind of got the hang of it.

Here is what I will remember most. When she got the fish food bonus, she was so happy, yet extremely nervous. The look on her face as she was touching the screen ever so slightly to reveal the fishes/turtles made me smile. She was laughing, smiling and giggling like a little girl with every touch. She didn't win much at all but that moment was priceless to me.
