Given ,

The equation of straight line is

  • 5x + 6y = 7

It can be written as ,

6y = -5x + 7

y = -5x/6 + 7/6 --- (i)

On comparing the equation (i) with y = mx + c , we get

m = -5/6

c = 7/6

Therefore , slope (m) = -5/6 and y intercept (c) = 7/6
