A small coastal town Thiyyas a community of farmers found in Kerala is the home of circus artists and circus owners in India. Some legendary circuses emerge some other circuses associated with Thalasseri. Every Thiyya house had a son and daughter working in circus who started training in early ages, excelled in balancing feats, trick riding, etc. Thiyyas made best acrobats in Agile of limb and nimble. They toured India and even abroad but in last two decades circus lost all its cinema & TV popularity. Circus has been threatening by mounting costs of running circus, lack of incentives from government, etc reasons.
