Answer:

i)True

ii)False

iii)False

iv)False

v)True

Explanation:

1) The nucleus of an atom is positively changed.

True because nucleus of an atom consists of protons and neutrons and only protons have positive charge(^{+1}) and neutron don't have charge.

2)Carbon-di-oxide gas is a mixture.

False because Carbon dioxide is a compound of two elements (C) carbon and (O) oxygen.

3)A chemical change can be usually reversed.

False because cannot usually be reversed.

4)Phosphorus is a non-metal.

False because Phosphorous is a non-metal

5)The mixture of sugar and water is a homogeneous mixture.

True because Sugar solution is a true solution.

Required Answer :-

  • 1) The nucleus of an atom is positively changed (T)

Reason : Nucleus of an atom is positively charged because of protons in it. Both protons and neutrons are situsted in nuclues. Neutrons are chargeless particles where as protons carry positive charge. So , nucleus of an atom is positively charged.

  • 2) Carbondioxide gas is a mixture (F)

Reason : Carbon dioxide is formed by chemical reaction between carbon and oxygen. So , carbon dioxide is not a mixture. CO₂ is a compound.

  • 3) A chemical change can be usually reversed (F)

Reason : Chemixal changes are usually irreverseable where as physical changes are reversible.Because chemical changes results in the formation of new susbtances.\\

  • 4) Phosphorus is a non-metal (T)

Reason : Phosphorus is a non metal whoch belongs to the 15th group in periodic table . Moving from left to right in a periodic table the non-metallic nature increases.

  • 5) The mixture of sugar and water is a homogeneous mixture (T)

Reason : Sugar can be soluble in water and the components were uniformly distributed. So , mixture of sugar and water is an homogeneous mixture.
