Explanation:

The new table, outlined in a report released this month, will express atomic weights of 10 elements -- hydrogen, lithium, boron, carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, silicon, sulfur, chlorine and thallium -- in a new manner that will reflect more accurately how these elements are found in nature.

There are about 118 elements known as present. It is difficult is study and describe all the properties of these all elements separately. Hence, elements, showing similar properties are grouped together are there general characteristics are studies. Such 'grouping' of elements is called as classification of elements.

The elements have been broadly classified into two categories which are known as metals and nonmetals ; this classification is based on differences in their physical and chemical properties. There are many elements. But, some of them are given here as follows :

  1. Aluminum
  2. Hydrogen
  3. Lithium
  4. Helium
  5. Chromium
  6. Barium
  7. Calcium
  8. Silicon
  9. Oxygen
  10. Carbon

These where the name of some elements which were described here.
