Hi,
There are infinite rational numbers are there between two rational numbers, Let we see 10 rational numbers.
Let a be -4/5 and b be 4/7
[Rational Numbers could be denoted by 'q'. Also brackets should be solved first]
q1 =1/2 × a+b
= 1/2 × (-4/5 + 4/7)
= 1/2 × 8/35
= -4/35
q2 = 1/2 × a + q1
= 1/2 × (-4/5 + -4/35)
= 1/2 × (-25/35)
= 1/2 × -5/7
= -5/14
q3 = a + q2
q4 = a +q3
q5 = a +q4
q6= a +q5
q7 =a +q6
q8 =a+ q7
q9 =a +q8
q10= a+ q9
Hope this helps you.
