The 26th term is -68.

The Arithmetic Progression (AP) given to us is:

7, 4, 1, -2...

First of all, let us calculate the common difference (d) between two terms.

FIrst term = 7

Second term = 4

d = Second term - First term

= 4 - 7

= -3

nth term in AP is given as:

an = a + (n-1)d                         [where a is the first term]

26th term would be :

= 7 + (26-1)*(-3)

= -68
