Solution:

absolute value of a number is

Absolute value of a number is the distance between the number and a zero on a number line.

And distance is always positive

so absolute value of  any number  a  is  | a |

| a|  = a    if  a > 0

     = 0    if a   = 0

     = - a  if  a < 0

as -4/5 < 0

Hence absolute value of -4/5  is  -(-4/5)  =4/5  

absolute value of - 4/5​ is  4/5
