Write the algebraic expressions for the following.

(1) If sum of two numbers is 8 and one of the numbers is y,
find the other number.

(ii) If x kg of sugar needs to be distributed among the y number of people, find how
much will each person get.

(iii) There are x number of rows. If y number of chairs is put in each row, still three
people remain standing without chairs. How many people are there in total?

(iv) Ten times ten's digits added to unit's digits gives a 2-digit number. If x and y are the
units and ten's digits, respectively. Write the numbers as an algebraic expression.
