APPLICATIONS BASED ON THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY

➡ Some steel vessels have copper coating on the bottom. This is because thermal conductivity of  copper is more than that of steel. So cooking will be more faster.

➡ Houses made of concrete roof get very hot during summer days because thermal conductivity  of concrete is more. Thus, to keep the room cooler, a layer of earth or foam insulation is preferred  on the ceiling.

➡ In a nuclear reactor, water is circulated in the core in order to absorb the heat energy which  prevents the core from overheating
