Answer:

Point A lie on X-axis(since ordinate is 0)

Point B lie on Y-axis(since abscissa is 0)

Join point A & B

We get a right angle triangle,

right angle at origin i..e..0 or C

We know that,

Area of right angle triangle is:-

=1/2×base×height

=1/2×6×8

=3×8

=24

Hence,

Area of triangle formed by given points is...

=24 (units)^2
