1. Write the arithmetic sequence with first term 3 and common difference is 4.

2. The algebraic form.

EVALUATION

ANSWER TO QUESTION : 1

Here it is given that the arithmetic sequence with first term 3 and common difference is 4

So

First term = 3

Second Term = 3 + 4 = 7

Third term = 7 + 4 = 11

Fourth term = 11 + 4 = 15

So the required arithmetic sequence is

3 , 7 , 11 , 15 ,..

ANSWER TO QUESTION : 2

We get the arithmetic sequence as

3 , 7 , 11 , 15 ,..

So n th term

= a + ( n - 1)d

= 3 + ( n - 1 ) × 4

= 3 + 4n - 4

= 4n - 1

Hence the required algebraic form is

 \sf{ = 4n - 1}
