SO2 + 2H2S ---------> 3S + 2H2O
First of all, we will balance the O (oxygen) molecules. In the side of reactants as well as products, we have 2 Oxygen molecules and they are already balanced.Now we will balance the H (hydrogen) molecules. In the side of reactants, we have 2 hydrogen molecules, whereas we have 4 hydrogen molecules in the side of products. So we will add 2 to H2S and it will become 2H2S . Now, we will balance S (sulphur). In the side of reactants there are 3 sulphur molecules in total. But in the side of products, there are two Sulphur molecules. So we will place 3S instead of 2S. So now, our sulphur molecules are balanced. Hence it becomes a balanced equation.✔
