Kabir Das was a 15th-century Indian mystic poet and saint, whose writings influenced Hinduism's Bhakti movement and his verses are found in Sikhism's scripture Guru Granth Sahib. His early life was in a Muslim family, but he was strongly influenced by his teacher, the Hindu bhakti leader Ramananda

My favorite popular personality is Allama Iqbal.

• Allama Muhammad Iqbal was born on Nov 9, 1877 in Sialkot, in the Punjab province of British India.  

• The grandparents of Iqbal were Kashmiri Pandits, who transformed over to Islam. In the 19th century, when the Sikh Empire was overpowering Kashmir, his granddad's family moved to Punjab.

• He was called the poet of east.

• He gave the Idea of Pakistan to Indian Muslims.
