Shakespeare's play, Mark Antony is portrayed as a handsome athlete, a runner, and perhaps a playboy as well. He's a friend and relative of Caesar's, and Caesar seems to trust him. Superstitiously, Caesar tells Mark Antony to touch his wife's garment, as he runs a race at the beginning of the play, to free her from infertility. Mark Antony agrees to do so without question.
However, other characters in the play underestimate Mark Antony, and they presume he'll support the group of conspirators planning to assassinate Caesar. But Mark Antony's loyalty to Caesar never wavers.
