Character sketch of Mijbil, the Otter

  • The otter, Mijbil, was in certainty, of a species formerly foreign to science. At the latter, it was dubbed Lutrogale perspicillata Maxwell by zoologists. He corresponded like an extremely small mythical dragon of the Middle Ages. It was like a chocolate brown mole where the major trait of an otter is to broaden and spread every drop of water. The actual game that Mijbil relished vastly was manipulating small objects with his paws lying on his back. His loved toys for playing were marbles.

Character sketch of Gavin Maxwell:

  • Maxwell was a naturalist and writer, best known for his endeavour with otters. Maxwell's popular book Ring of Bright Water in 1960 interprets how, in 1956, he gave rise to a smooth-coated otter back from Iraq and put forward it in Camusfearna at Sandaig Bay on the west coast of Scotland. He put up with the otter, called Mijbil, to the London Zoological Society, where it was agreed that this was a lately unknown sub-species of a smooth-coated otter. Maxwell quoted it Mijbil. He tested Mijbil on a guide as if he had been a dog. Maxwell's life improved due to the existence of the otter.
