In the story "Triumph of Surgery," Dr. Herriot is the veterinary surgeon. He is the one who saved Tricki from his illness. In his first meeting with Mrs. Pumphery and Tricki, he had understood the problem which Tricki was undergoing. He had warned Mrs. Pumpherey about this but it all went in vain. Later he decided to treat Tricki in the absence of Mrs. Pumpherey. He gave Tricki the amount of food required to him and made him do physical exercises as well. He was the one who treated Tricki and made him fit again.
