The following are the cockroach's characteristics:-

(i) It is a member of the Arthropoda phylum.

(ii)The exoskeleton is comprised of chitin and is joined together.

(iii) These have spiracles mostly on lateral sides of the thorax as well as abdomen segments allowing gas exchange.

(iv) It includes jointed legs that allow it to run quickly.

It has sensitive bristles on its legs that guide it while it moves.

(v) It has very well large eyes & sensitive cells on long antennas that allow it to travel in the dark.
