Characteristics of monera are :
1. These organisms are prokaryotic.
2.They are unicellular organisms.
3.Some have cell walls while some don't.
4.The mode of nutrition can be either be autotrophic or heterotrophic.
5.Some examples are bacteria, blue-green algae or cyanobacteria, mycoplasma, anabaena ,etc.
Comparison:
1.Monera are prokaryotic while protista are eukaryotic.
2.Monera lack well defined nucleus but protista have developed nucleus.
3.Monera are found in every habitat while protista are aquatic.
