  • Organ system of body organisation.
  • Adults exhibit radial symmetry where is Larvae exhibit bilateral symmetry.
  • They are tripoblastic.
  • They are ceolomate.
  • They are exclusively found in Marine habitat.
  • The digestive system is complete with a ventral mouth and dorsal anus.
  • The respiratory system is made up of dermal branchie which includes skin gills and populae along with tube feets.
  • The circulatory system is open.
  • They are dioceious.
  • They undergo external fertilization and the development is indirect.
  • The Larva is ciliated free swimming.
  • They have a endoskeleton made up of calcerous ossicles i.e. they are spiny bodied.

  • In this system, sea water enters through a porous plate called madreporite.
  • And then it reaches the radiating canals and tube feet called podia.
