The reaction is between Propanoic acid(a carboxyllic acid) and methanol(an alcohol) in the presence of Sulphuric acid. So it is an esterification reaction. An ester and water  are formed in the reaction. The reaction isC_2H_5COOH+CH_3OH \rightarrow C_2H_5COOCH_3+H_2O

lfstone3: methanol is added to alcohol so that people don't drink it or abuse or smuggle it.
lfstone3: the reaction should take between ethanol and ethanoic acid(carboxylic acid not a type of another acid).

CH3-CH2-COOH + CH3OH ---------> CH3-CH2-COOCH3 +H2O
