Hey friend !!

Here is your answer.

--------------------------------------------------

Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH) is prepared chloralkali process.

In this a strong concentrated solution of brine is electrolysed giving the products of hydrogen gas ,chlorine gas and Sodium Hydroxide.

Reaction :

2 NaCl + 2 H2O ===> 2 NaOH + H2 + Cl2

Hope it helps.

hey
here is Ur answer

##################

2NaCl + 2H2O ---------------- 2NaOH + Cl2 + H2 (remember to right electric current above the arrow)

The process is chloro-alkali process. Chloro for chlorine and alkali for sodium hydroxide.In this process hydrogen gas is evolved at cathode and chlorine gas is evolved at anode. The solution which is formed contain sodium hydroxide.
