Write the chemical equations involved in the self-reduction method for the extraction of copper from a copper ore.​

In the self reduction method, copper pyrites or cuprous sulphide ore is heated with cuprous oxide at high temperatures. The crude copper metal is extracted without the need of another reducing agent.

Equation:

Cu2S + 2Cu2O----------> 6Cu + SO2
