Answer:

Sugar : C12 H 22 O 11

PLASTIC :

Plastic materials are made of polymeric macromolecules, so to have a rough idea of their chemical structures and describe the issues, we usually write the repeating unit of the polymer as the formula. For instance, we write —(—CH2—CH(Cl)—)— for poly (vinyl chloride), a.k.a. PVC, one of the most common plastic.

WOOD : ____

WOOD - Wood is considered to be mainly a compositematerial made up of two broad classes of fibrous polymers : (1) water repellent and structure-supporting lignin (18– 35%) and (2) carbohydrate (65– 75%), the latter being mostly cellulose, a water attracting polymer made up of glucose ( 6-carbon sugar) units. The monomer (building block) of lignin has at its core rigid, flat six-membered rings called “phenols” with OH substituents and other simple carbon- based interconnecting groups. Cellulose is ubiquitous to virtually all plants and is the largest source of all biomass; without the unique macromolecule lignin, however trees would collapse upon themselves.

PLASTIC- PVC is Polyvinyl Chloride. This is a plastic that has the following chemical formula: CH2=CHCl .

SUGAR- The chemical or molecular formula for sucrose is C12H22O11, which means each molecule of sugarcontains 12 carbon atoms, 22 hydrogen atoms and 11 oxygen atoms. The type of sugar called sucrose is also known as saccharose.
