Question: -

Write the chemical reaction of photosynthesis?

Answer: -

◆ Autotrophic nutrition is fulfilled by the process by which autotrophs take in CO2 and H2O and convert these into carbohydrates in the presence of chlorophyll, sunlight is called Photosynthesis.

◆ Equation: -

6CO2 + 12H2O --- In the presence of sunlight and chlorophyll --- C6H12O6 + 6O2 + 6H2O

◆ Raw materials for photosynthesis :

1. Sunlight: It is inorganic material.

2. Chlorophyll: Sunlight absorbed by chlorophyll.

3. CO2: Enters through stomata and oxygen (O2) is released as by-product through stomata on leaf.

4. Water: Water + dissolved minerals like nitrogen, phosphorus etc. are taken up by the roots of the soil.

\mathfrak{Answer:}

The process of photosynthesis is commonly written as:

\tt{6CO_2+6H_2O \rightarrow C_6H_{12}O_6+6O_2}

This means that the reactants, six carbon dioxide molecules and six water molecules, are converted by light energy captured by chlorophyll (implied by the arrow) into a sugar molecule and six oxygen molecules, the products.
