Greek thinker Aristotle classified animals according to whether they lived on land, water or in the air. For example, animals that live in the sea include corals, whales, octopuses, starfish, and sharks. We can immediately see that these are very different from each other in numerous ways. In fact, habitat is the only point they share in common. This is not an appropriate classification for study. So, it was not accepted.

Answer:

Aristoytle gave two kingdom classification in which he just classified into plants and animals.

On the basis of their physical apperarance.

It was not accepted because he kept

Euglena like single celled eukaryotes, and fungi etc in plant kingdom although they are having very.much dissimilarities.

Also in animal kingdom all the organisms have different characterstics but are kept in same kingdom. like Vertibrates and invertibrates, chordates , and non chordares are kept in same kingdom.

hope it helps..
