(1) when the point is on y-axis the x-coordinate becomes zero
now, we have x=0;
putting the value of x in the given equation we get,
3x+2y-6=0
i.e. 3(0)+2y-6=0
0 + 2y = 6
y = 6/2
y = 3
therefore the coordinates are (0,3) for the first case.

(2) Now, when the point is on x-axis the y-coordinate becomes zero
now we have y=0
putting the value of y in the given equation we get,
3x+2y-6=0
i.e. 3x+2(0)-6=0
3x + 0. = 6
x = 6/3
x = 2
therefore the coordinates are (2,0) for the second case.

I hope this be of some help to you...
