Code of conduct means the simple norms or rules and regulations implimented by election commission at the time of elections. 

During election campaigning there are some restrictions  given by the supreme court  called the code os conduct :

1 . They cannot use any place of worship for election propoganda .

2 . The cannot use government vehicles , aircrafts or official during the election campaigning .

3 . Once the elections are announced the existing ministers can not lay the foundation stone for any projects , the cannot make any major policy decisions and they cannot promise free facilities to the public .
