Question :- write the coefficient of x in 55x² - 3 ×+5 and also form the algebraic expression using variables , constants and arithmetic operation : one - tenth of the product of b and c ?

Solution :-

we know that, in quadratic equation ax² + bx + c = 0,

  • The coefficient of the x² is a.
  • The coefficient of the x is b.
  • The third term, c, is called a constant.

A coefficient is a number in front of a variable.

Therefore,

In given Equation 55x² - 3x + 5 ,

  • The coefficient of the x² is 55.
  • The coefficient of the x is (-3).
  • constant term is 5.

Hence, The coefficient of the x is (-3).

Now,

we have to form the algebraic expression using variables , constants and arithmetic operation :- one - tenth of the product of b and c .

→ (1/10) of Product of b and C

→ (1/10) of (b * c)

→ (10) * (bc)

(bc/10) (Ans.)
