President of India hold a major power of our country he is elected by the all the MLA and MP present in the state and the country of the both houses every law which has to be signed by him or her for coming to an action where as vice president who is only limited power he is elected by the Lok Sabha & Rajya Sabha MP and he also holds the portfolio of the Speaker of Rajya Sabha and moreover if the President is out of the country for some work or personal issue then the vice president has the full authority and power which is assigned to President.

Comparison between the President and the Vice-President
President
Elected by an Electoral College consisting of elected members of both the Houses of the Parliament-the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha and of the Legislative Assemblies of the States.
The election is held in accordance with the system of proportional representation by means of a single transferable vote.
No person shall be eligible for election as the President unless he is a citizen of India and has completed the age of thirty-five years.
