Given,

There are two sets of angles are given,

Set 1 : i)70° ii)45° iii)40° iv)60°

Set 2 : i)100° ii) 90° iii)60° iv)30°

To find,

The complementary angles of the angles of Set 1.

And,the supplementary angles of the angles of Set 2.

Solution,

We know that, the sum of two complementary angles is always 90°.So,we need to subtract the given angles from 90° ,to get their complementary angles.

i) 90°-70° = 20°

ii) 90°-45° = 45°

iii) 90°-40° = 50°

iv) 90°-60° = 30°

And, similarly we know that, the sum of two supplementary angles is always 180°. So, we need to subtract the given angles from 180°,to get they are supplementary angles.

i) 180°-100° = 80°

ii) 180°- 90° = 90°

iii) 180°- 60° = 120°

iv) 180°- 30° = 150°

Hence, the complementary angles are 20°,45°,50° and 30°. And, the supplementary angles are 80°,90°,120° and 150°.
