Answer:

intersecting lines are those which intersect at a point and also the condition is a1/a2 = b1/b2 =c1/c2

for example: 4x² + 5x + 12 and 8x²+ 15x+ 48 are the two

equations.

let 4x² + 5x + 12 be -------------- (1)

8x²+ 15x+ 48 be ---------------(2)

from eq (1), a1= 4,b1 = 5, c1= 12

similarly from eq(2), a2 = 8, b2= 15 and c2 =4

now the condition for intersecting lines is that,

a1/a2 ≠ b1/b2

now, a1/ a2 , b1/b2 , c1/c2

= 4/8. , 5/15 , 12/48

= 1/2 , 1/3 , 1/4

since 1/2 ≠ 1/3

that implies a1/a2 ≠ b1/b2

hence these equations are intersecting lines

hope this helps u

thank you
