It is the longest written constitution of any soveregein country in the world. B.R. Ambedkar,the chairman of the drafting comittee, is widely considered to be its cheif architect. The original constitution of India was handwritten by prem Behari Narain Raizada in a flowing italic style with beautiful calligraphy.
