Write the coordinates of of point p on x axis which is equidistant from the points A (-2,0) and B (6,0)

As the points lie on x axis, and the desired equidistant point is also on the x axis,

x = x1 + x2/2

x = (-2) + 6/2

x =4/2

x= 2

The point is on x axis so y coordinate is 0

Therefore the point (2,0)
