Write the coordinates of the vertices of a rectangle whose length and breadth are 6units and 5 units respectively, its one vertex at the origin. The longer side lies on the x-axis and one of the vertices lies in the third quadrant.

One of its vertices lies on origin

then other two vertices will be lies on x-axis and y-axis respectively.

As one of it's vertices lies in the third co-ordinate so, the point will be negative and the point lies on x-axis will have negative value of x and the point of y-axis will have negative value of y

Now,

 On x axis, the longer side lies. It means that the length 6 would be there.

Hence, the point on x-axis will be (-6,0)

So,  the point on y-axis will be (0,-5)

and the point of vertices at origin is (0,0)

and the point at third co-ordinate is (-6,-5)

Hence, the co-ordinates of the vertices of the rectangle are (-6,0) , (0,0) , (0,-5) ,(-6,-5)
