Write the corresponding angles axiom.

If a transversal intersects two parallel lines then each pair of alternate angles are equal.

If a transversal intersects two non- parallel lines then each pair of corresponding angles are equal.

If a transversal intersects two parallel lines then the pair of corresponding angles on the same side of transversal are equal.

If a transversal intersects two parallel lines then the sum of two corresponding angles is always 180

tell which option is correct

Answer:

If a transversal intersects two parallel lines then each pair of alternate angles are equal.

Step by step explanation:

If a transversal intersects two parallel lines, then each pair of alternate angles are equal.

Solution: Given: Let PQ and RS are two parallel lines and AB be the transversal which intersects them on L and M respectively.

To Prove: ∠PLM = ∠SML

And ∠LMR = ∠MLQ

(After this see that picture)

Proof: ∠PLM = ∠RMB ………….equation (i) (Corresponding angles)

∠RMB = ∠SML ………….equation (ii) (vertically opposite angles)

From equation (i) and (ii)

∠PLM = ∠SML

Similarly, ∠LMR = ∠ALP ……….equation (iii) (corresponding angles)

∠ALP = ∠MLQ …………equation (iv) (vertically opposite angles)

From equation (iii) and (iv)

∠LMR = ∠MLQ Proved
