solution----

it is given that

5x^3 = 2x^2 - x^3 - 1

5x^3 - 2x^2 + x^3 + 1

6x^3 - 2x^2 + 1

here , the degree of the polynomial is 3...

becoz it's highest power is 3...

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Concept Introduction:

The concept of degree of polynomial will be used to solve this problem.

Given Information:

The equation is given that is 5x^{3} =2x^{2} -x^{3} -1 .

To Find:

We have to find the degree of the above equation .

Solution:

The degree is the highest exponent of any expression in the polynomial (excluding the constant).

We can write the above equation as P(x)=5x^{3} +x^{3} -2x^{2} +1=6x^{3} -2x^{2} +1

In the equation, the term with highest degree is 6x^{3} .

So,the degree is 3 .
