Write the degree of (x^2+1)(x^2-1)

PLS I AM A BIT CONFUSED!!

rosangiri28pfbc5r: multiply both and choose highest exponent of x ,which is the degree.
rosangiri28pfbc5r: for example, If x^2+5x^5+4 , here highest exponent is 5 .so its degree is 5
BrainyWarrior: actually its 4
BrainyWarrior: u can just multiply and find the answer
BrainyWarrior: just wanted to find if ppl knkw how to do it
rosangiri28pfbc5r: yah .i give example of other not of yours coz yours question is easy one

firstly multiplying both the brackets so u have

x⁴-1,

now degree will be 4

BrainyWarrior: oh all right , thought of it but i tried to to use identities
