Rabi Crop:-

1. Sown in winter (oct-dec), harvested in summer (april-june).
2. some of the Rabi crops are :-Wheat,Barley,peas,gram.
3. mainly grown in North , north-eastern parts :- Punjab ,Haryana ,HP,Jammu Kashmir , Uttaranchal , UP.
4. monsoon during winter helps in the success of these crops .
5. Success of Green revolution has helped in the growth .

Kharif Crop:-

1. sown in monsoon (june-july), harvested in (sept-oct).
2. some of the Rabi crops are :-paddy,maize,jowar,bajra,tur,moong,urad,cotton,jute, groundnut and Soybean .
3. mainly grown in regions of :-Assam,WB,Orissa,AP,TN, Kerala and Maharashtra .

Zaid Crop:-

1. Sown in Summer(March,April) harvested in June .
2. short season during summer months .
3. some of the Zaid crops are :- watermelon, muskmelon, cucumber ,vegetables and fodders.
