write the diference in the size of images formed by a concave and a convex lens.
Answers
CONCAVE LENS:-
1) concave lens is thinner in the middle and thicker at the edges.
2) it is also called diverging lens.
3) image formed is virtual and smaller than the object.
4) it's focal length is always negative.
5) it is used for the correction of problem of short sight.
6) Appear smaller and farther.
7) Used to Correct myopia.
8) Curves inward.
CONVEX LENS:-
1) convex lens is thicker in the middle and thinner at the edges.
2) it is aso called converging lens.
3) image formed is real and inverted.
4) it's focal length is always positive.
5) used for the correction of problem of long sight.
6) Appear closer and larger.
7) Used to Correct hyperopia.
8) Curves outward.
Concave Lenses
When an object is placed at a finite distance from the lens, a virtual image is formed between the pole and the focus of the convex lens. The size of the image is larger than that of the object.
