Answer:

Alauddin Khalji was the second ruler of the Khalji dynasty. He ascended the throne in 1296 after treacherously killing his uncle, Jalal-ud-din Khalji when he came back from a succeeding army campaign in Devgiri. Alauddin understood the importance of trade. He introduced many reforms in his empire. He made different market places for different goods and punished all those who used to do the practice of adultery and cheat on the customers. He died in 1316 and was succeeded by Amir Khusro.

Muhammad-Bin-Tughlaq, son of Ghiyasuddin Tughlaq, ascended the throne in 1325 after his father’s death. He was also known as the ‘wisest fool.’ He had many projects which failed. In 1327, he ordered to move his capital from Delhi to Daulatabad to reduce the fury of attacks from Mongols. But due to lack of proper transport facilities, most of the population died on the way. He charged extra taxes from the farmers. The farmers, who were not able to pat such high taxes, quit farming and there was a famine. He died in 1351 and was ascended by Firoz Shah Tughlaq.

Hope it helps you.
