1.Distance is a scalar quantity displacement is a vector quantity.
2.Distance can never be zero if the body has moved but displacement can be zero even if the body has moved.

Here's ur answer...


Distance : it is total length covered by any object in its complete journey.

Displacement : it is distance between the final and the initial position of the object.


For example. When we move around a circular playground, then our distance = circumference of the playground
And displacement = zero because the final and initial positions are same.
