these are snow fed rivers.
these rivers contain the water which come from melting of snows in Himalaya.
these rivers are intensively used in erosional activities.
example - ganga, Brahmaputra, Indus.
peninsular rivers :-
these rivers are rain fed rivers.
these rivers contain water when the rain happens otherwise they dried up.
these rivers are less used in erosional activities.
example - kaveri, mahanadi, etc.
